We purchased a Canadel table with leaves and 6 chairs in the summer and fall of 2007. Total cost of over $3800.00 The table finish is chipping off all along the center after 3 years. Woodworks had a re-finisher come to look at it. They have determined it is "normal wear and tear". They have told me that water must have gotten under the finish. They could not tell me how that would happen. There is just two of us in this house and we barely use the table. It is a KITCHEN table! We spent extra money to purchase this set, thinking it would be the last one we'd have to purchase in our lifetime. Do not waste your money here- go to American or even Target. Spend one third the money and get better quality.‎ Or if the finish peels off in 3 years, at least you haven't spent a lot of money on it!
