Excellent service:
I have made two purchases from Yips of California. The first was for a tennis bracelet for my girlfriend and the second was for the engagement ring when I decided to propose. Both times I received excellent customer service from the owner, Tania.
Because I knew nothing about jewelry, Tania took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know about carats, clarity, color, etc. I then did my own research online and in other stores and found that she was very honest and had given me an excellent deal on both items. I would highly recommend Yips of California to all my friends. In fact, I sent my best friend to Tania and he purchased his wife's engagement ring from her.
My purchases are from back in 2006. I just did a search for Yips today for another friend and found that the only other review was very negative and was from March 2008. It was strange for me to see such negative comments about this business. That is what has compelled me to share my experience.
After reading the March 2008 review, I decided to look up Yips on the BBB website to see if they could confirm such a negative rating. As of today, Yips has NO RATING. As for Yips refusal to refund money, this is true. I happened to asked Tania about this policy and she explained that buyer's remorse is often the cause of someone wanting to return an item. I feel that is likely the case for what happened with the person writing the March 2008 review. They mention that Channel 7 On Your Side got no response. I find that highly unlikely. I enjoy watching Channel 7 On Your Side and have noticed how they will basically stalk someone to get a response. All they would have had to do in this case is enter the business. To me, this other review sound bogus. Anyway, I hope other people have as much luck with Yips as I did.

Cheated our company:
We purchased a man's watch from Yips of Califonia as a client gift. The watch did not work from day one. Yips refused to refund our money. They gave us a bogus warranty as well! The Better Business Bureau got NO response from Yips when they tried to help. Channel 7 On Your Side got no response when they tried to help. Yips has a bad business rating with the BBB for three years as a result. To date Yips has the watch and we have NOTHING! It has been one full year of hassle and complaints. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM YIPS. They do not stand by their products.
