Bad!!! Only cares about that $$$ not your hair.:
I have gone to Yudi's on several occasions to do my or my kids hair. I only took my kids, (12, 3, 4 yrs old) once. Billed at $36 then told to tip the girls. Yudi does good on men and boys but the girls are un-schooled in hair dressing and are being trained by Yudi. Not saying they are bad and don't mind practice on my kids, it'll grow back. But do not charge me $12 bucks a kid and then tell me to tip the girls who didn't do that good to begin with. Besides, there is another hair salon, no two, just one block south of Yudis that cuts hair all day long for boys and men at $5/6 bucks, and they do great. I had only done cuts on my own hair by Yudi herself because the girls are not trained enough to do women. I recently got my color done, which was to correct, then highlight to make it blend well. My hair was stripped, colored, and highlighted. Was there 4 hours. Once being processed and under the dryer, I had to get out of the dryer due to the foils burning my scalp so bad that I could not sit there any longer. My hair was looked at by Yudi, then back under the dryer I went. Soon after, I was given a waiver to sign... I should have known right then that I was messed up. She proceeded to wash out, treatment, dried, then styled. I was told to not wash my hair for 5 days and to take this jar of treatment, put it on after the 5 days and leave it on not rinsing it out and not wash again for another 5 days. I could not, made it only 2 days. Noticed breakage. Noticed more and more breakage. My hair had been over processed so bad that it was completely fried. It took 2 hours just to straight iron dry hair. Kept seeing breakage. It has been a month and almost all of the highlights have broken out. It feels like brushing or styling horse hair. Every time I styled my hair, I was sickened and just wanted to shave my head and start over. Pretty sad that this woman was more worried about losing that money than being honest about what she had supposedly knew how to do. I have now cut my hair from mid back to just beneath my earlobe length to take the weight off of the rest of my hair. I have applied ion treatments and used ion shampoo & heavy conditioner trying to restore my hair. I still am leaving a treatment mask on my hair after showering to make it some sort of soft to style. I have never had short hair but am having to learn to style it because of this mess. Honestly, making your customer sign a waiver just so that you are guaranteed to be paid for making someone's hair nearly fall out because you did not know what you were doing !!!! Really. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I would recommend Image Makers on Fairmont and Hair by Popular Demand on Fairmont. I now use Summer at Hair by Popular Demand on Fairmont and Watters. Before you pay Yudi $200 or more to do your hair, go see Summer, she is good and will not charge you that freakin much money. Just think this information should be known and spread to prevent someone else from loosing their hair!
