Thomasdixon is right about the deposit. They do charge for certain model vacuums. It's ten dollars and goes toward the cost of the repair. But if you don't get it repaired at least the repair person is compensated for their time. It's only ten dollars. That to me seems fair since I don't expect anyone to work for free. AerusElectrolux is always free though (I know since I own an AerusElectrolux and a Kenmore).
