Know Before You Go: This isnt the friendliest spot for calorie-conscious folks. Though the pastry case contains a few healthy options (a bran muffin and excellent currant-studded roll among them), its hard to pass up the buttery croissants or almond-topped bread pudding, willpower or not.
When to Go: If crowds--and the subsequent noise that accompanies them--arent your thing, avoid visiting on a weekend. Instead, drop by mid-morning on a weekday. Youll have a better chance of snagging a seat in the eating area and of enjoying your ham-filled croissant in peace.
