For Love of Children provides educational services beyond the classroom to help students succeed from first grade through college and career. We bring together students, volunteers, families, and community partners in proven programs that teach, empower, and transform.

In 1971, on 350 wooded acres in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, the Wilderness School was founded to help youth in Washington, DC by taking them out of the city to live and learn in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
