It's pretty much exactly like all the other cold stone creameries, except as of summer 2010 it feels like only one person works here at a time. All of that "feel good" vibe they talk about at on the cold stone website? Not here. It's not like the one person working isn't pleasant, it's just not the "festive" and "fun" atmosphere they advertise.

A basic small scoop of ice cream plus one item to mix in will cost about $4. They have a cold "stone" slab which they mash your ice cream around in while they mix the ingredient you want. It's nice for softening up the ice cream, as well as making the entire dish a lot bigger looking than it would be otherwise!

There's not a lot of street parking on Lake Ave in front - you'll have to find parking around the back in one of the lots owned by the stores. Most people park in the structure that is owned by Macy's and Trader Joe's, or they park in the lots behind the stores on the east side of the street.

Cold Stone serves gourmet ice cream, made fresh on the premises every day, along with homemade waffle cones and chocolate brownies. Expect to find upwards of 30 mix-ins, ranging from fruits and nuts to cakes, cookies and candy bars.
