Editorial Reviews

It “feels like college never ended” at this “nonstop” West Village “party” where frat boys get “blind drunk” and sorority girls “prepare for the walk of shame” the following morning; sure, it’s “dank” and “cramped” with “blasting music” and a “loud crowd”, but word is “if you can’t have fun here, you can’t have fun anywhere.”

Giant Jenga, flat-screen TVs, and five cans of beer for $12. A sportsbar done right. Play air hockey, pool, Skee-Ball, pinball, or foosball and feel nearly as athletic as all those players on the 60" HD screens. Nearly. Bar doesn't sell food, but you can order delivery from nearby DuMont Burger or Caracas.

Charming hole-in-the-ground (or, at least, a few steps below street level) with great drink specials, a nice fireplace alcove, and a curious mix of sports bar and singles scene.

The name says it all at this West Village dive for the college crowd--drink up.:
In Short
Aptly named for its basement setup, this bar rocks with the right tunes, lots of drunken NYU students and cheesy year-round Christmas lights. Reasonable prices and specials...

Information from the business

This legendary underground Greenwich Village institution has given our loyal followers a damn good reason to party for the last two decades and counting.
