Been 4 months and still no front door:
Sept. 12th we purchased and paid Edelen's for a front door we had dreamed of for many years. We chose Edelen's because we wanted to support a small, local company that would assist us with the installation, etc. All started off well, A gentleman came out to measure, advise and write up the specifications.
The door arrived middle of November, the hinges were mounted on the wrong side, This would have made our door open to the outside. Not what we paid $2,200 for, so they didn't install it and said they would fix the door and get back to us.
Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went, still no word about our beautiful door. During this time my husband called Edelen's several times and a nice woman would politely inform him, someone will call you right back. Guess what, never a call back.
I called them Jan. 8th to receive an update. Got the same run around my husband got, but finally connected with someone with a story my 4th call of the day.
The story goes, they are under new management, the door never made it to get fixed, I guess it sat over the winter in a warehouse. But we are going to get right on it and you will have it next week.
Well, it is now Friday the 17th of January, I called at about 12:30. As I am typing this we receive a call from Edelen's, They inform us the door will be here on Tuesday.
I wish Edelen's the best of luck, if in fact they are under new management. We need small businesses to keep our community healthy. With everything in life, I try to take away a lesson, Todays lesson: Check the Better Business Bureau prior to purchasing anything substantial, we didn't up front. We now know they scored an F,
Hope the door makes it on Tuesday.

Do not do business with this company!:
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! We got a referral from the guys redoing our pool to use these guys for the custom gate and fence we wanted. The beginning process was great, easy to talk to the guys, they would return my calls. 4 years later, here we are with a BROKEN gate control. We have had Tim Gehrig (gate operations manager) come out at least three times a year since we've had it to replace the master board and many other various things on the LIFT MASTER gate opener. Each time it has taken more than month to get it fixed.
Tim was nice (when he FINALLY called back) so I worked with him and was very lenient. He gave me so many excuses, blah, blah, blah. Whatever, just please fix it. We paid just under $15,000 for the whole gate install so it wasn't cheap.
The gate opener is broken again. It has been a month since I first contacted them. I called first thing Monday morning and got Tim's voice mail. I called the showroom and just happened that he was there. Score! NOT! He gave me so many excuses it was unbelievable. I asked him as a consumer who bought this opener what was I to do? On his previous visit he had told me that the other Lift Master openers they installed all ran great. Well, that doesn't help me any now, does it Tim? He also said if they had bought it through another company that they would have already replaced it. Once again, no help to me Tim. I asked him to talk to the owner about what I should do. He said he'd call me back that day. I told him he could even text or email but just to please get back to me. NO WORD AS OF YET. It is Friday.
My only recourse is to take them to small claims court. LAME! The holiday season is almost upon us and this is NOT something I want to deal with. I have lost many hours of sleep due to this company.
I wish I had read the reviews before we used them.
BUYER BEWARE!
Funny, but the more reviews I post, the more I see their own employees writing 5 star reviews! WOW!
The Better Business Bureau has them as an "F"! WOW again! If only I had read the reviews...
