Don't walk...run away from here and find another Enterprise to rent from!:
I rented a vehicle that was "pushed" by the employee working that morning...he only had one other vehicle, but told me what a "sweet" ride this vehicle was, as he took it home with him the night before. We go outside to look at it; it looks okay to me and I take it home. That day, my 18-year-old son, an Eagle Scout who misses nothing, saw a dent on the vehicle but assumed I was aware of it and did not mention it to me. Had the car 10 days...when it was not in use, it was either in my driveway (50 ft from road) or in my employer's parking garage. I return the car 10 days later, thinking I'll be in and out quickly. The employee who checked in the car comes back and says there is damage he needs to show me, and in the same sentence, admits that it can only be seen at certain angles. That was the ONLY true statement this gentleman made in this interaction. He insisted that the damage occured while I had the car, as the car would have been checked when the pprevious renter returned it, and any damage would have been noted then. Umm...the employee who i dealt with the morning I rented the car told me he had the car home with him the night before I rented the vehicle; wouldn't that have been BETWEEN the check over from the previous renter and my rental? Hmmm...to make things better, that employee no longer works there (I had the car 10 days and now he is gone)? Obviously, he damaged the car when he had it, and waited for the first sucker to walk in (me) the following morning. I played right into his hand by not noticing the damage before taking the vehicle...remember the damage "can only be seen at certain angles", as stated by the employee informing me that the damage was there. They are trying to hold me responsible for the damage...myself, my husband, and my daughter walked past the car (I drove it) for 10 days and did not see the damage...If it were not for my son stating that he saw it immediately and assumed I was aware of it, I would not have been able to understand what happened here. This business is run by some young men that clearly do not know what they are doing, as they insist that employees are not allowed to bring cars home with them. Umm...and that is how this whole thing started...with the employee that no longer works there who brought this vehicle home, played a game of basketball or some other game (it is clear that a ball hit the car), pawned the damage off on me, and then quit. I have used Enterprise ij Kinnelon a number of times, and never with a problem. Should have stuck with them this time. They are professional and follow the rules.
