As the oldest music club on Bourbon Street (it opened in 1934), many local jazz, pop, and rock musicians have passed through here. One of them, Harry Connick, Jr., played his first gigs here at the age of 13. The current claims to fame are cheap drinks and a solid cover band. It's fratty fun, if that's what you're looking for, and there's no cover.
Love it or hate it, Famous Door and places like it on Bourbon Street such as Razoo's are popular with the folks.
