Much like sister locations in Southern California, this venue is a somewhat upscale Irish pub featuring tables, chairs and a bar of dark wood, as well as complementary green-leather banquettes. "Friendly" service and "pleasant" surroundings make this modestly priced local chain of Irish pubs an "economical" choice for "excellent beer on tap" (including a "proper Guinness") and a "bite to eat"; it's especially "enjoyable" "around St. Patrick's Day."
Local chain does it up big in Dana Point. Where the locals come to see each other, some more. Every area at every time of day is different: low-key sports bar during the day, hip-hop on weekends, live music on weeknights. Or sometimes the other way around. Breaded bar food always available. The Fish Bucket shares a patio and skews a little younger, but who cares after midnight.
