Lincoln Square's Pizza D.O.C. has been reborn as this European-accented offering adding German fare like schnitzels to the former menu of pastas, salads and pizzas from the wood-burning oven; the casual space remains recognizable, with exposed-brick walls, and prices are still generally affordable too.

Although it's very Chicago to think of this place as the Pizza Doctor, the 'D.O.C.' is an Italian designation of authenticity.
