Hogshead Brewery, one of Denver's newer small breweries in the Highlands, is no exception. The UK-born head brewer Stephen Kirby was a wandering traveler and brick mason who ended up in Denver in the early 1980s.

Hogshead Brewery Opens in SloHi Today at 2 p.m.:
On Tuesday, Denver Off The Wagon reported that Hogshead Brewery started pouring during weekends, and sure enough, the English-style brewhouse has quietly opened its doors. Official hours have been posted, and Thrillist suggests that the brewery will open to the public starting this afternoon. Hours: 2-10 p.m. on Fridays, 12-10 p.m. on Saturdays and 12-8 p.m. on Sundays.
