3G! Good Sake, Good Service, Good Sushi .:
Sushi menu was amazing. The sake selection was impressive and fun to choose. The servers are professional and friendly. I highly recommend this place for all people going downtown.

Deserves negative stars!:
This is the first time I have ever reviewed a restaurant on the internet. As a guy, I usually don't complain about places I dine in, and can usually find something good about a restaurant, BUT with this place, there was NOTHING good about it at all. So this is the reason why I felt the need to review this disgraceful restaurant in Little Tokyo because 'JOY MART' is THE ABSOLUTE WORST place I have ever been to. I am sure that the other people who had the unfortunate experience of dining there while I was this past weekend would say the same damn thing! NOT what a Japanese restaurant should be like at all. I would be willing to bet that the owner of this place isn't even Japanese. SO MANY things wrong with this place... No greeting of the customers at the door by the waiter or waitresses (3 different parties waited by the door without an acknowledgement or smile from the employees). When one of the employees finally got to us (in a half empty restaurant by the way), we were seated in dirty chairs with sticky tables. Then, we waited too damn long for anyone to come take our order. As expected, part of our order takes a long time to arrive, and when it does, the sushi (only 7 or so pieces) is served on a ridiculously oversized, narrow rectangular plate that only fits vertically with the oversized circular plates carrying the entrees! Who the hell owns this place? Obviously someone with no restaurant experience. So they bring the sushi, but of course, do not bring any soy sauce nor have any at the table! We wait again for someone to walk by so we can ask them for soy sauce and a plate. 3 other parties around me all had to ASK for the bill to be brought to the table, and when my friend and I were finished eating, we had to ask for our bill as well. A couple more things -- no one bothered to come around and refill our water or tea, nor bothered to take away any of the salad plates or oversized sushi plates (they were left piling up on our table). With BAD service, impolite, ignorant, and inconsiderate employees, dirty floors, chairs, and tables, stupid oversized plates with small tables, and way overpriced food -- this is the WORST place in Little Tokyo, and the worst place I have ever experienced. What kind of stupid name is "Joy Mart" anyway?

Little Tokyo lovers will relish in this stylish spot for sake bombing.:
In Short
Sleek red walls and dark wood tables make this urban-chic restaurant and sake bar an intimate place for a date. A sultry soundtrack of light jazz plays in the dimly-lit interior...
