Preceded by the reputation of its LA siblings, Katsuya Glendale is a success from the get-go. (And, let's be honest, there aren't too many hip restaurants in the area.) Between the food, the cocktails, the location and the décor, it's easy to understand why. Set on the elegant plaza of The Americana at Brand shopping center, it occupies two floors linked by a majestic, black helical staircase....
"Amazing bread" is at the center of this well-priced Belgian bakery chain offering mostly organic "fresh, healthy" daytime fare, from "lovely" open-faced sandwiches and "sweet little salads" to "quality" pastries; service tends to be "a bit European", but the "inviting" atmosphere redeems with a "charming", "rustic" space perfect for a meeting or a post-exercise bite.
