Editorial Reviews

L'Appetito Restaurant Review:
This is one of the good Italian delis in the city, and it’s affordable, too. We gravitate toward the big squares of thick-crust pizza, grilled Italian sandwiches (tostinos) stuffed with pancetta and mozzarella and coated in spices and olive oil, and the big selection of sub sandwiches (you can’t go wrong with the classic Italian). The espresso is of good quality, and the gelato is first-rate.

In addition to an extensive line of imported and specialty foods, this little grocery store near Michigan Avenue makes some of the best, freshly-made Italian sandwiches in the city. Order at the deli counter in the rear. In warm weather, take a seat in their outdoor seating area and watch the folks stroll by. In colder months, the tables move inside. Also available are Italian sweets and...
