David saved me from a drug charge:
My friends and I were driving in Downtown Phoenix when we were pulled over - and to make matters worse the driver pulled something from his pocket and told me to hold it for him. That split-second decision to slip it into my pocket was the worst decision of my life. The cop apparently saw me reaching into my pocket, took me out of the car, searched me, and arrested me for drug possession. Thankfully my mom still had David Black's number from my sister's DUI, so we called him up expecting to hear the worst. To my surprise, David was very confident about my situation and began to work almost immediately on my case. I was terrified about going to jail, but David's confidence gave me hope that it wouldn't happen, and it didn't! If anyone needs help with criminal charges in Phoenix, David Black is the man to call.
I stayed out of jail because of David Black:
When you get charged for crystal meth in Arizona, it's pretty serious. My parents have been with me through thick and thin, and I'm thankful that they supported me through all my drug issues. It was my 1st meth possession charge, and I'm embarrassed to say that kicking the habit was very hard for me. Needless to say, my parents understood that what I needed was help and decided to hire David Black, who I heard was one of the toughest criminal defense lawyers in Phoenix. Thanks to David, he made the case that I deserved deferred probation, which means I get to serve probation. As long as I succeed (and I did), I won't get prosecuted for meth possession. I went to rehab and successfully did community service and passed all the random drug tests. David made sure I was prepared for everything, and he coordinated with my parents to make sure that I didn't ruin my chances of staying out of 6 months worth of jail. It was difficult at times to stay out of trouble, but it was worth it. I couldn't have done it without my family and David Black's legal expertise, that's for sure.
I'm glad he represented me when I got charged with a DUI:
I was arrested for a DUI, which is a very serious charge in Phoenix. Arizona is one of the strictest states in the country when it comes to DUIs, so when you get arrested for one here, they really mean business.
I just want to make it clear that it was all a mistake, that it wasn't even a real DUI, which David Black was able to prove. I had only swerved because I feel asleep on the wheel, which I'm not proud of. I'm guilty of driving tired, not under the influence, but it seemed like the cop just wanted to believe what he wanted to believe, regardless of the truth.
I left work past midnight, and I should have had some coffee befor getting behind the wheel. I closed my eyes for one moment and next thing I knew I had fallen asleep and swerved into a parked car. So of course the cop thought I was drinking. It was a pretty hard hit, so I was disoriented when the cop decided to put me through a field sobriety test, which I failed. Considering I couldn't see straight after slamming into the parked car, it's no wonder I failed. But he took my shock from the accident to mean that I must have been tipsy.
My friend recommended David Black, since he represented his son for drug posession and got the charges dropped. I was short on cash, but my friend told me that David would work with me on a reasonable payment plan, which he did. He was a little expensive, but that's what you'd expect from a quality Phoenix criminal lawyer. he was great at helping me come up with a payment plan I could live with, and he got the charges dropped when he proved that I was sleepy, not drunk. Sure, my insurance rates went up and the accident was my fault, but that's better than having a DUI on your record and doing jail time.
I am very happy I took my friend's recommendation, and I would suggest him to anybody else that needs a really good defense attorney.
