Revised Review / Difficulties Resolved:
It's only fair that I provide a new review now that the problem I had with this law firm has been resolved.
I previously described the difficulties encountered in getting a simple updated Power of Attorney, wondering why a returning client like myself was having so much trouble obtaining the explanations and corrections I had requested.
Now I think maybe all of us (including myself) were just having "a bad day" (stretched into a bad week/month), burdened with communication problems.
I found myself wondering how this office could be associated with the Alliance Legal Group. Where was the Christian treatment?
Little by little, though, communicating by way of "snail mail," the difficulties were worked out, corrections were made and details of difficult areas were modified or explained as I had requested.
Using "snail mail," however, prolonged the process so that finally I went to another law firm and had them prepare my Power of Attorney.
When I informed the Steve Taylor law firm (again by mail) that I had obtained my Power of Attorney elsewhere and no longer needed their services, they surprised me by disregarding their previous statement (and their normal business policy): they did give me a refund.
In summary:
1) They did work with me and resolved my difficulties.
2) When I completed the POA elsewhere because of the delays communicating through the mail, they went beyond their standard policies and provided a refund.
