the best low-frills place to stay in Sedona:
So yeah, there are more glamorous places to stay when you're in Sedona, places with spas and fitness centers or even turn-down services. But I've stayed at 5-star places with lousy service before and I'd much rather stay at places like the Matterhorn Inn any day of the week. The owner/manager, Dan, was super-friendly, letting us checkout late on a busy day, helping me bring 6 suitcases down from the room on checkout and letting me stash them in their small back office until we left Sedona later in the day.

Located in the heart of the uptown shopping district, this hotel is convenient to restaurants and shops, and all of the attractively furnished guest rooms have excellent views of the red-rock canyon walls.
