Worst place ever!!! Owner will lie to your face! Avoid at all costs!!!:
AVOID THIS PLACE FOR OIL CHANGES AT ALL COSTS! WILL BAIT AND SWITCH YOU AND WILL CHARGE YOU EXTRA FEES AFTER STARTING THE SERVICE... THEN WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE ABOUT IT!!! The owner is a horrible human being without an honest bone in his body!!!
I saw another review below that basically detailed the exact same AWFUL experience I just had.
I initially called ahead and asked for a quote on the oil change. They told me my car takes synthetic blend and it would cost me $34. I was like ok... and came in to get it done. Upon getting there... the owner of the place made it seem as if he was doing me a favor by even servicing me... even though they officially close at 3:30 and it was only 2:30.. using quotes like: "I am the boss, i can leave and close the shop whenever I want" and "i dont care about money, im doing you a favor by even servicing your car". Which is insane to begin with. To add a cherry on top, the same "owner" received a phone call while I was waiting on the oil change and told another customer that he would be here for another hour and that he can pick up his car then. The owner straight up lied to my face that he was on his way out when I got there at 2:30. I've never EVER had a business owner straight up lie to my face like that.
But thats only half of it. I was told $34 over the phone, but when I got there, one of the techs told the owner that my car only takes full synthetic... I asked how much it would be and the owner said $44.95. I agreed to the price.
The car was lifted up and they began changing the oil... the owner then prints out the receipt and tells me that the total is $74.57. I was like... "wait... why... how did it jump up $30?". He told me that it was "sales tax".
I look at the receipt... and the sales tax is $4.63. Then there is a line item for "Oil Change Labor" for $15 and another line item for an "Oil Filter" for $9.99. The very first line item of the receipt says that an oil filter is included as part of the oil change, and I was never told that there would a labor charge as well.
The owner literally gave one price... got my car on the jack and began changing out my oil... by which point I really couldn't take my car back... and then added a bunch of charges to my bill without telling me. His excuse was then that it was "sales tax"... WHICH WAS ONCE AGAIN A COMPLETE AND TOTAL LIE!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Literally, the owner is a scam artist without a single honest bone in his body. He also badly misspelled my last name on the receipt!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
I filed a complaint with Meineke corporate, asking for a FULL or AT LEAST a partial refund. My reference number is: #17557095
I want to think that this just an isolated location, and not a reflection of the Meineke brand, but if my case isn't resolved, I'd be glad to take my business to Valvoline or to someone else from here on out. The person running this place is AWFUL... and should be stripped of his ability to use the Meineke name!!!
