I've never really been to an upscale men's salon before, but I don't think I could ever go back to my barber now. I got a regular haircut (a little pricey by barbershop standards but soooo worth it).
From the moment I walked in I was welcomed and offered a coffee or espresso. There is a big comfy waiting area with a TV for entertainment, as well as a big TV at each station. I got a shampoo before AND after plus a hot towel and nearly-spiritual neck massage by what I first thought was a Maxim model.
As for the complaint about this place being racist, I think they must have visited a different salon. On the day I went they were very busy and both the employees and customers were of diverse racial makeup, but everyone was pleasant, professional and friendly. I say this as an out-of-towner (I live in the South) and I felt just like I was at home, but with funny accents!
Worst place ever:
Bad haircuts, rude, and racist...they discriminate against hispanics wanting to get service there....if your not white jersey shore dont expect to get serviced.run for the hills
