A friend and I went last night and it was really good. It was our first time eating Indian food. We can not handle spicy foods and they were nice enough to make both our dishes very mild. I had the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious. I also had the mango colada which was yummy. We wanted to order dessert but we had no idea what anything was except we understood vanilla ice cream but they were out of it. So we went to Dairy Queen across the street. All in all it was a great experience for both of us.

Excellent lunch, fresh and varied. Items are replenished often, unlike another restaurant I won't name where all there ever seems to be on the buffet are a few scraps of something in a brown sauce.

I recently came back from India and I would say that the flavors are authentic, not amercanized Indian. They use the full depth of spices and herbs (curry leaves, carmamom, cloves, chilis, coriander etc.) As to the Indian person who said everything tasted sweet I don't know what she could be talking about sine I am one of those people who doesn't like sweet/savory things, never thought their food was sweet, maybe some items on the menu might be but of all of the offerings on the lunch buffet never had anything "sweet" except for their delicious rice pudding for dessert!

Nawab Indian Cuisine Restaurant Review:
Like its outlets in Norfolk, Newport News and Williamsburg, Nawab in Virginia Beach presents Indian cuisine in a serene, elegant setting. White tablecloths grace the tables and walls bear lush, bold colors for a contemporary yet reverential tribute to a rich heritage. There’s an interesting menu of korma, kebabs and biryani entrées (with a choice of chicken, lamb, goat, seafood or vegetables)....
