I called Dr. Nwapa's office and scheduled an appointment. The first opening was not for two weeks. At that time, the person assisting me to schedule the appointment knew that I was going to be a "new patient".

Because the appointment was scheduled during my normal working hours, I made arrangements at work to be off (without pay).

Then, the morning of the appointment, Austin from his office, called me and left a message that Dr. Nwapa does not see "new patients" after 3:30 p.m. This does not help when one is already suffering from anxiety from everyday life.

When I called back, I voiced my concerns about having to take off of work and then being contacted on the morning of the appointment that it had to be canceled.

This was so wrong of the office staff. They wanted me to reschedule. However, when I informed them that I did not want to reschedule, the office girl hung up on me.

Also, when scheduling the appointment, they did not tell me that he was an “adolescent psychiatrist”.
