When two chefs with high-end backgrounds join forces to open a little burger joint, one might expect miracles. "Messy, juicy burgers" made from "lots of unique meats like elk, buffalo and ostrich" fill out the menu at this "popular" Dallas-bred chain also offering "enough fried sides to please anyone" and spiked milkshakes for cheap; an "energetic" staff matches the "quirky" digs.
No bakers or candlestick makers, but there are butchers here. Former chef of the Four Seasons makes nice with other chefs equally tired of making fancy foods and opens digs for more appreciative crowd. Instead of quiche, its fried macaroni balls. And house-made ice cream developed by pastry chef pal from back in the Las Colinas day. The fried ice cream alone is worth a visit.
