In the summer, the free Party on the Plaza concert series is open to all ages and regularly features national bands such as the Violent Femmes, Better Than Ezra, Gin Blossoms, Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, and Cowboy Mouth.

Saturday night. My party and I were the only Blacks present. We were Ignored a lot. Couldn't find a restroom so we left the gated area. Found an alley. Guess who got arrested? You got it! Cops hiding in the alley. Unbelievable. The remainder of us went to the police station. When we asked to use the restroom we were told no. Told them we were lawyers and all and guess what? They let us use the facilities. Unbelievable. E-mailed the mayor on procedure to file a complaint. No response. The area caters to young caucasians. I now know why no Black people were there...................
