sure wish I would have read the review on yelp before I took my Graco airless to them for fixing.
I am a professional painter - but maybe the fact that I am a woman made them feel it was ok to treat me like they did.
I was given a quote of "about 300 dollars" to fix my 365, was told they have ten machines ahead of me and 'they'll get to it when they get to it'.
Now, when somebody says "about 300" you would expect it to be ABOUT 300- maybe 310 tops, other wise it should be BETWEEN 300 and whatever. Right?
I had a slight reservation as I could have just bought the parts and fixed it myself as I've tore the thing down and re-packed it before, but Chris was convincing that the labor charge was worth it for the "warranty" - so I left it for them to fix.
One of these days I'm going to learn to listen to that little voice inside of me . . .
NEXT DAY they call and tell me it's ready. I ask for the total price, as I was planning on bringing cash.
The guy on the phone says "$348 (and change).
When I politely tell him Chris quoted 300 and ask what the other 49 bucks is for, instead of saying "hold on let me find out for you" he snaps, "300 was probably just an estimate and I'm sure he didn't have his crystal ball handy to be able to give you an exact price"
are you kidding me? the economy is in the toilet, business is as tough as it ever has been and you're going to treat paying customers with serious attitude like this?
Well - I DO have MY crystal ball handy, and it says you will never see me set foot in Spray Mart or spend so much as another DIME there, and I will make sure to tell everybody I know in the business to take their business elsewhere.
The Graco company itself does not sell parts to individuals, but if you're handy and can fix your rig yourself (these things aren't really that hard or complicated to fix) you can go see the manager at Frazee Paint in San Jose and he can order the parts you need, or you can go to the Spray Shop, or Jenco, or any other place that would be appreciate of your business.
These guys are nothing but attitude - and if you work as hard as I do for the money, take the advice given here and by the other poster and go somewhere else. Unless you like being treated like [email protected]
