Disgusting people horrible service:
My poor parakeet was sick and i took him to there clinic , without reading the reviews on the internet so i wasn't prepared for the horror that would insue. I took him there and from the moment i stepped in everyone who worked there had this cold cold vibe very detached and you could tell that they didnt even care about there job and they just wanted to go home it was written all over there faces and the way they interacted with everyone. When we got to the doctors room they started acting with these fake sympathy about my bird. they later tried guilting me and my mom into taking him into the animal hospital . They were vary vague about why and they wouldn't tell us the point. I asked the chances of the bird living and they said 50/50 . We knew by then that it was written in stone that it would pass away very very very soon so there was no point in the hospital I still asked for the charge for the hospital and she said 660$ . i was FLOORED. and this is for ONE NIGHT . It was so obvious that the poor thing was going to die at any second and they themselves probably knew that as well but they still insisted on taking him in . Soon enough the next day the little guy dropped and die . it was a peaceful death but the only thing that realy bothered us today was how they knew he was going to die at any moment but stil insisted to take him in just to make the $660 . Scum . Read the reviews on this site if you think mine is over exagerated . they really are that bad of a clinic.

Horrable! Horrable! feels like a turkish bazzar, hard selling you and playing on your guilt:
I came here to spay my dog, I had bought a muffin certificate, www.muffins.org , which basically means that operation costs were covered. I had once used this certificate and ended up not paying any additional fees(What a fool I was not to return to same vet...). The minute I walked in the door the vet didn't stop offering to do any procedure in book such as dental procedures (that the dog doesn't need since I already took her to an honest vet). The vet also "offered" an "optional" IV infusion that according to his claims might be prevent complication 5% of the time for another 60$, while thinking to myself that such a thing should be left to the surgeons discretion I gave in to my guilt and agreed to pay the extra fee. After the dog was taken away I was presented with an outrages 500$ bill, ballooned with "extra" expenses such anaesthesia , hospitalization and other fees that should be included in the price of the certificate. Since the bill was presented to me after the dog was taken away, I had no choice but to pay the outrages bill. As I have already metioned, I had used the certificate before without paying any additional fees, certainly not 500$ worth. I have a feeling the personal at terrace animal hospital see it customers as walking money trees that needs to be shaken bare.
DO NOT set your foot there.

Worst Vet ever - Valley Stream office:
The Valley Stream office borders on evil. They whisked my cat away claiming he needed urgent surgery without even explaining what would happen to him and said he would have to stay 3 days - and handed me a huge bill. I didn't like anything about the place but I trusted that they were doing the right thing. Then I went home and looked them up on the web, saw some horror stories and went back to get him out of there. He was there an hour and a half - pre-operative procedures they said - 400.00 worth. I took him to another vet; let me be succinct. He didn't need to be there for 3 days, any reputable vet would have done the pre-operative tests and sent him home, to be brought back the next day if everything checked out. The "emergency procedures" for his teeth could easily have waited a few weeks (the new vet actually recommended the wait since he had just got a bunch of vaccinations and might not feel well). Either way, the procedures are done and and you pick him up later in the day. Central Vet just wanted to fleece me for 3 days of hospital stay, with all the extra trimmings thrown in.
They put in an IV, even though he wouldn't be worked on till the next day, and the tests might have precluded the operation.
They lied to me, they took advantage of my guilt, they grossly overcharge... but the evil is making a poor little cat suffer in a strange place just for greed. And the bill at the new vet, for everything that needed to be done, is one third what Central tried to rob me of.
