If you are military, do not shop at Home Depot! Their new military discount policy is ridiculous! They require you to register personnel information which they say is used to verify military customers for their 10% discount. Once registered, you can claim your discount. Whatever happened to proving your identity with a military ID card? Why should service members have to divulge their identity? Home Depot says this is a Corporate decision to make it easier for service members. How did it makeit easier when I waited in line to buy an item and then I can't redeem my military discount because I didn't register my personnel and private info to their registry? Recommendation for all military shoppers: Go to Lowes, they still honor a military discount with your valid military ID account. I wouldn't want any store to have my military information like Home Depot.
