Seriously I dont even want to give them one star, ( I would give them negative stars) but it forces me to. I had a slip and fall case dated back to July 2007. I decided to go with them, to be honest, becuase of thier propaganda. BIG MISTAKE! Where do I start? They have zero professionalism. A lady, in quite of a rude tone answers the business line "Law offices" She doesnt announce her name, just plain poor phone etiquette. The whole firm, well atleast with the people I have dealt with, have not any type of answering service, voicemail, nothing. You would have to rely on the "rude" receptionist to get any message across. Have luck with that. After all my medical was done and finished, I alerted them. They said give them sometime to recieve my medical bills. I did. One of them called me and asked if I could go down to the office, but she didnt clarify why. Walmart needed some paper signed and rushed to them asap so my settlement could be settled and negotiated (this was wed the 10th) I then asked the lawyer, "what do you think im possibly looking at"? (kinda like a kid in a candy store)The lawyer than proceeded to scream at me and said "its not Walmarts fault there was clear liquid on floor(her english sucks so im typing how she speaks)and you not look where you walk! um, There were no wet signs posted and i was walking through in entrance.. the employees were fighting over who was going to cleanup the mess . i was the lucky one. a cashier lady helped me up and even stated "o my gosh this is all of our fault!.. I bit my tounge with the lawyer and was like screw it.. this is what I get for going to the GHETTO for lawyers! was told the paper was going to be overnighted and they would get back to me with Walmarts reply. Now on to Dec 15th, after I do not hear from the lawyer, I called and called till I got not a rude receptionist! My lawyer then spent like 7683 on the phone w me searching for the fact that walmart replied only a few injurys happened at the scene and not all. The lawyer was quite snotty with me when you wouldve thought it shouldve been the other way around. I had the decision of settling for 3200.00 (1/2) lawyer (1/2) me or go on a lenghty battle . I then asked my lawyer.. If I settle now when will i get this check. her reply was (mind you still the 15th) before the holidays. She said probably christmas but by the 1 st of the year for sure. I was content with that answer. I left it alone untl a few days before christmas(dec 22). After hours of trying to check the status, Elenore asked me to come down. (im thinkin woo hoo extra cash!) Nope. I had to sign a paper sayin that I authorize them to thier portion. she then gave me a promise date of that friday (after christmas). So I left alone till then. Friday turned into No... Mon.. NO... TUes... no.. Now weds being new years eve.. I was a tad peturbed. They gave me what 2 promise dates already? and nothing? I didnt even call. i went down there and threw a fit! (This whole time they never explained why I wasnt recieving it.. just the ghetto receptionist.. "nooope.. it aint here" )I asked to speak to my lawyer... or whoever the lady I deal with is.. Elenore.. She sent out some other non english speaking lady i couldnt understand if my life depeneded on it. She then proceeded to tell me no.. I got red with rage. I said well then you get Walmart on the phone and track it cuz you people told me that they said they sent it out! Then it turned into she didnt know if walmart sent it out, they can do it whenever. I told her that I have been more than patient with these people (because I really was) and they needed to accomadate me. Instead I got Elenore who told me I was a junkyard case and she doesnt know why she took me... Um? good question.. then why? Could it be that the attornys office is just a junkyard and they are doing something A crooked or B not smart enough to realize they suck? Well they tried appeasing me with 20 gift certificate to some wierd store deep in the ghetto. she then hugged me. Professional? I think not. She said that they mailed it out when she talked to walmart, so Friday was a good possibility(the 2nd). I called, spoke to the ONLY professional person I have dealt with, and she said nope, but it will be here Monday! Again I was excited! Mon the 5th comes along. I call. They said no. I spoke to Elenore.. Elanore said she would call walmart and get back to me. She never did. I called Tues... Talked to Monica... She said she didnt sort the mail but she would call me when she did.. no call... 2 hrs later I call her.. wasted my cell phone minutes like usual w/ these ppl,,, and she said that she was going to contact them herself. and get back to me in 20 min. She didn't. Today being WEDNESDAY the 6th.. I call her. Before so I got the number to Walmarts headquarters myself and left a mssg for a paralegal to call me to hear what they have to say. I got Monica on the phone and when i asked what her findings were.. she stumbled on her words and was silent. she then put me on hold. She said nope.. didnt come yet.. I said o no no wait a minute. You told me you were going to call Walmart YOURSELF! she put me on hold to look in my file where miricaliousilythere was a note sayin that Walmart headquarters just recieved the paperwork and are sending sometype of electrionical input to the insurance company. and that the compnay has that today and possibily can cut the check today! (wait.. didnt they tell me that walmart already dropped the check in the mail?) This was the most horrific experience I have ever had with a business. I do not reccommend these people. They probably recieved my check awhile ago and robbed peter to pay paul and im sure when the next peter comes ill finally get my settlement.. When I talk to Walmart myself and the information conflicts, I will contact the state bar as well as Channel 6 news. O and by the way.. if the funds are quareented from WALMART why couldnt the firm cut me a check for my ammount? The promise dates are what really did me in.. thinking you are going to have an extra chuck of change and make plans but lo and behold.. I FOUND THE CRAPPIEST LAWYERS AROUND! YAYYY.. Also, instead of pointing the fingers at Walmart, try yourselves. I am your client I am paying you to help me. If it means calling Walmart like i am calling you, its called GOOD SERVICE!
