Highway Robbery:
So my cat, a 4 month old kitten snuck out of the house one night and got into a fight, Her eye was barely open and goop was coming out so I called around vets, and Worcester Cat & Bird was the only one with an avaliable appointment. So I immediately made an appointment, I sat in the place for over two hours, over an hour before I was even dealt with. The vet told me that my cat's eye was one of the worst ulcer's she has ever seen, and that she needs to administer some products but never once did she tell me the price or tell me they were even going to cost extra, I was expecting a 150 dollar bill from what I was told, I was charged $265. Completely outrageous, they charged me for things that I havent sent in so they basically robbed me because I will never go back there. Told me my kitten can only eat high end cat food. Charged me 40$ for 3 months of flea medicine, when I looked online at PETCO they had a 6 pack same medicine for only 30$! ROBBERY. Also they gave me eye drops for my kittens eye, which I do believe they were necessary but they charged me $60. I looked up online how much the same type of medicine for eye ulcer's cost, it only costs $30. They charged me more than twice as much as they needed too, and regardless the other companies selling are still making money off of the price they quoted me. This cat & bird hospital doesn't care about the animals or the owners they just care about nickle and diming every penny out of people they can possibly get, On top of everything else, they told me that they need to see her again regardless is she is better or not and to charge me $37 for the visit not including them looking at her eye again. Also they told me that they may have to send her to Tufts, to have her eye sewed shut so it can heal properly. I gave her the eye drops and her eye is so much better looking and she has her personality back, Why not just put a cone on her head so she couldnt scratch at it? Apparently they want to us the most painful, costly procedure possible. I do not reccommend this place for ANYONE to have them look at their pets. Please go somewhere else because you will be robbed blind, and have your pet hurt in the process.

AND ON TOP! They charge a $10 technician fee for when they are treating your pet for a vaccine or physical and your animal won't stay put and they have to grab an assitant to help keep your animal down. What happened to letting the owners help? Harnesses? Why do I need to pay $10 each time a "techincian" needs to be involved. They are a terrible excuse for a vet.

A WONDERFUL place for cats!:
We have two three-year-old cats who we adopted as kittens. Our experience at Worcester Cat Hospital has always been wonderful - thoroughly competent and caring. They are VERY good with our kitties and we recommend them most highly.

A Terrible Experience:
Pet "treated" by this vet was a bearded dragon. Our experience was terrible.

We were told that our pet was going to die without a battery of expensive tests and surgery. We were also told that the vet wouldn't perform any services for our supposedly dying animal unless she was paid in full up front; our attempt to set up an installment plan was categorically refused. We were accused by O'Leary of being neglectful. She literally reduced my wife to tears over the phone.

After being told on Halloween 2007 that our pet would be dead by the following Thanksgiving, I'm happy to say that he is still alive as of January 2009 and quite healthy as he approaches his thirteenth birthday.

A second opinion with another vet resulted in our being told that all he needed was a small dietary change; there was never anything significantly wrong with him.

I wonder how many pets have been needlessly euthanized because of this veterinarian. In any case, I would STRONGLY advise owners to take their pets elsewhere for care.
