Description
The real John Hawk was 14th Century English captain who was born in Essex. During his lifetime he fought in the Hundred Years War in France before traveling to Italy where he entered into the service of Pisa. He switched sides many times working for the Pope, Milan and finally Florence, where he died. He was celebrated as the periods greatest soldier of fortune.
