Even though bar virtuoso Lance Mayhew and deep-in-the-bourbon Andrew Finkelman have moved on from behind the bar (to Beaker, and to Branch), 50 Plates remains one of the few places in the Pearl we’ll pop our heads into without recoiling from the curdled stench of tasteless new-money a@!%!*e.

The whisky still pours generously from a deep selection, and the happy hour is all cheap gourmet...
