Ordered a new roof in September 2010. Paid $2955.00 in December 2010 for new roof with promised installation date before the end of December 2010. We cancelled the contract July 13, 2011 after waiting 8 months for the shingles to be shipped. We went to Small Claims Court in Baton Rouge May 13, 2013 and a judgment was ruled in our favor for Songy & Sons to pay us $2,659.50 plus legal interest from the date of judicial demand, until paid, and for all costs of the proceedings. We went to the Louisiana Residential Contractors Board(225.765.2301) September 4, 2013 for a hearing with three other families who have complaints. Songy & Sons was found guilty and fined $11,179.97 plus court costs and his contractors license was suspended until he pays the judgment to us.
