Horrible:
I called because my heat was going off. They sent a tech for a $59.00 service call. He diagnosed the problem as "a clogged fuel valve". He said he would try and clean it out to no avail, so for $159.00 more he would put a new one on it. He switched it out and it did not solve the problem. He then said it was the spark ignition switch. For a total of $325.00 he could install the entire kit that would solve this problem. I said ok since i just wanted to get it fixed and over with. After installing this it still did the same thing. At this point and over three hours (he had to leave three times to go get parts) i mentioned to him that it was still doing the same thing. He said that in fact the new parts were doing something different at which i told him that to me it still is turning off after five minutes. He then proceded to tell me that he would check something else. He banged on several things and finally told me that the "heat exchange was cracked" and that was the problem. For $1800.00 he could replace it. What he didn't know was that i had a technician last winter look at my unit because it was doing the same thing, and the heat exchange was NOT cracked. Frustrated I said since the new parts he put in did not correct the problem to just put it all back together and i would still pay him the service fee for his time. Well not only did he cap my gas valve off, (he broke the gas line and did not replace that in the process) but left the parts on top of the unit only after i had to ask him to leave them. I called another furnace guy who had been in the business for thirty years to come and look at it. First off he said if it was turning on, it was never the gas valve nor was it the ignition spark plug because it was getting fire. The problem was in the thermostat switch. It was touching a coil that automatically shuts it off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The guy was arrogant, and contradicted himself several times. I had to get someone else to fix this simple problem that turned into a dillema. The real kicker was that he had the gall to state.."i come over here to try and go out of my way to fix this and all i get is all these eyes on me, there's a saying that a good deed goes undone and i should have just shut the whole thing down and tagged it"...The other tech said that since he couldn't find the problem, didn't know what was causing it... so he just condemned the whole thing and was done with it. Especially after he knew the new parts he installed didn't do anything. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
