Description

A home decor store is hardly the place you'd expect to find a superlative dining experience, but ABC Kitchen (located within ABC Carpet & Home) delivers. This venture between home decor giant and celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten paid off handsomely when it was voted "Best New Restaurant of 2011" by the James Beard Foundation. ABC Kitchen's delicious American fare is more than worthy of...

Tips

Expensive, eclectic ABC Carpet & Home has three eateries, including this one, which comes courtesy of famed restaurateur Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Now it's been refurbished into a two-story restaurant, with stone walls, wood floors, and working fireplaces.

The Inn falls into the growing family of ABC restaurants (Vongerichten tells Grub...

ABC Kitchen Restaurant Review:
There are few places in the world where you can browse for a Persian rug or new furniture and then mull over possible purchases at an elegant restaurant in the same building. Welcome to ABC Kitchen, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s restaurant on the ground floor of ABC Carpet & Home. In keeping with the style of the moment---that is, 2010---the food here has an organic and locally sourced focus. The...
