If you want a reliable company, then don't bother with this place. Although the gentleman who came to fix our washer/dryer the first time was very efficient, the girl who handles the phone is a total snob and has absolutely no customer service skills. Being in a customer service business myself, I was baffled by how rude someone can be when their company was in the wrong. They DON'T return phone calls or show up for appointments and when you call to ask what happened, they blame you. After I have been waiting 20 days since my first scheduled appointment to even hear back from this company, after I have left multiple messages for 2 weeks, I have every right to be p@!%!d about the situation and how I have been treated. It's common courtesy to return your customers calls. I don't appreciate the incompetent girl behind the phone giving me an attitude because THEY screwed up. Own up to your mistakes and take your attitude elsewhere girlfriend because you will not get very far in this world if that's how you choose to speak to people no matter where you work. If you can't handle your job, then maybe you should find another one; Probably one where you don't have to interact with people, because any company that this snot works for is doomed for failure with her as their voice.

Above the Rest squeezed me in at the last minute and showed up the very next morning after I called. I don't believe the previous reviewer's story at all, after my experience. James is the technician that worked on my washer and he was able to fix it. I had several companies out before Above the Rest and nobody could my washer! James was courteous and very knowledgeable. I will be sure to ask my extended warranty company (Federal Warranty) to send out Above the Rest from now on!

I was assigned this company through my extended warranty from Home Depot. I have a leaky washer and put in for a repair. I received an appointment for Tuesday from 12-5. I told the service I could not be home until after 1pm. I was told that was fine. They would give me the phone number of Above the Rest Appliance and I could call them direct and arrange that they would not arrive before 1pm. I left the company a message and that evening they called me and left me a message saying a note was in my file and my window would be 1-5pm. The following morning I received a voice mail from James from Above the Rest Appliance saying my window was 12-2. He also called my house at 12:04pm but I was in a meeting and could not take the call. He did NOT leave a message. I got home by 12:55pm with no sign of the repairman. I called Above the Rest Appliance and left a message that I hoped they were still coming bc they appeared to have my time window wrong.

When they did not show up I called the Home Depot number and the info they had was someone was at my house at 1145 (why? my window was 1-5) and they described my house as having new siding and a trailer in the driveway. So he was on my street...but that's not my house. Thats the house down the street under renovations. I made these notes with home depot and they set up another service call for the following day again with Above the Rest Appliance. My window was 12-5 and I have been home since 1130am. Around 4pm I called Above the Rest Appliance as I was worried he would no show or go to the wrong house again. I left a message. Very shortly after I received a phone call from Home Depot saying Above the Rest Appliance has opted out of my service repair as the repairman does not feel safe! What? I live in a very nice area, with virtually no crime and my house is one block from the police station. What could he be talking about? Meanwhile my house is CLEARLY marked with my address and this guy went to the wrong house at the wrong time one day and was a no show the next day. I am currently filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Above the Rest Appliance Repair and Home Depot for failing to respond to my warranty situation in a timely fashion. I have taken TWO afternoons off from work (unpaid) and have lost more money waiting for this sorry excuse for a business than it would have cost me to call my usual repairman and paid for the repair myself! From reading the reviews here of this business, they clearly have no idea how to run a business and should not be in business. Home Depot should know better than to partner with them. Disgraceful. One star is one too many.
