Adjustable Plumbing-Heating & Cooling Services

This contractor was hired through our warranty company, Old Republic Home Protection. The owner's son came to our property to repair our air conditioning unit. After inspecting the system, the technician told us the outside unit was no good. He said he would contact the warranty company to request a new unit, but until then he added 2lbs of freon to help us "limp" along until we replaced the system. He told us this was a short term fix and that it would eventually leak and we would have the same issues we had before. Before the technician left, he gave us an invoice stating that the unit needed to be replaced and wrote down the serial numbers and model numbers to our inside and outside units.

Two weeks passed and I never heard from the contractor or the warranty company. I called the warranty company, and they followed up with Adjustable Services. The owner said that his son visited our property and repaired the unit. I provided the invoice that was given to me at the time of service to the warranty company and the owner of Adjustable Services. No one would acknowledge the information on the invoice or the fact that the technician diagnosed the problem with the unit and said it needed to be replaced.

The owner of Adjustable Services refused to provide me with a new invoice or a statement in writing describing what they claimed to have replaced on our system. I watched the technician the entire time he was at our home, and he did not replace anything on our unit.

Because of the negligence of Adjustable Services, our warranty company has refused to pay for the replacement of our air conditioning system.
