Awesome Hair, Nails, Facials and Massages!!!!:
My boyfriend got me a gift certificate to have a smorgasbord of services done last Christmas. I had the opportunity to get hair color, a hair cut, massage, facial, and pedicure done. All of the services and providers were exceptional in their own way. The sports massage with Michael was so great that I immediately got my boyfriend a "thank you" gift certificate for a massage with him as well.
Since then I've been back frequently for massages, pedicures and to have my hair colored and cut. I'd go back for all the services, but I have a limited budget, so mostly go here when I have free time and am able to splurge and pamper myself.
That first day, I ordered lunch from La Croix downstairs and ate a delicious duck sandwich by the pool in between my services in a robe and slippers. The staff made me feel like a princess. Everyone was so nice to me, and I felt extremely pampered.
Each time I've gone back I've had great experiences. People I can personally recommend: Kristen (hair colorist), Gina (stylist), Michael (best massages ever), Asia (amazing with pedicures). They always remember me, and I'm impressed overall with how many returning customers or 'regulars' visit both the salon and spa to see specific service providers.
Biecker is a great place if you like to get to know the people that pamper you. The whole place has a positive family-like atmosphere where each person contributes their skill and experience. The providers talk about each other with respect and admiration. Everyone seems to really enjoy being there... there's a distinctive pride in working at Biecker that shines through in the quality of work each person does and in the service they provide to their customers.
If you are pressed for time, they can schedule a manicure or pedicure during the hair appointment and get you out of there quickly. I've also had longer pedicures with paraffin treatment in the spa, and it's all very enjoyable.
I've read complaints about being made to wait too long in the spa area. I have waited 10-15 minutes before for massage or pedicure services, but I found my time in the dark, relaxing waiting room to be comfortable and fun, with herbal Aveda tea and nice things to read. In some ways, it's that little wait with the tea that I look forward to as part of my Biecker experience. I don't like rushing or feeling time when I'm trying to get relaxed. If you are trying to get in and out and know you need to be somewhere right afterward, maybe you should go somewhere that's a little more connected with the stress of daily life. I schedule extra time around the spa services at Biecker so I can savor the whole experience.
I've been to other spas and salons in town, and had various good and bad experiences, but Biecker is the only place where I've had consistently good experiences with everyone I've seen.
Also - I keep reading that people find the services so expensive. I am always surprised at how inexpensive the services are given that the spa has such a good reputation, location, and that the staff has been working there for so long. Most of their "junior" people have been there for more than 2 years. A lot of people have been working there for over a decade-plus. Everyone I've met there seems to enjoy their job, which is more than I can say for most salons I've been to in Center City and Rittenhouse Square. I find the prices quite fair and affordable for the quality of the services provided.
Biecker is all about luxury and treating yourself. It's a wonderful go-to spot when you need some pampering and care. If you can afford to do multiple services in one day, there is something really magical about the experience. If you want to get someone a fantastically awesome present, you can be sure that a gift certificate here is a good investment in the happiness of your loved one.

Whitney Postman review Totally inaccurate:
How can someone blame someone else for how they applied their own make-up? Any sensible person could see through her story, and realize the part she played in her clown-like make-up at her sisters wedding.
