An Excellent and Preferred Physician:
Dr. Pickens makes the experience of going to the doctor's office - not a dread, but - almost a treat. Her office is a pleasant setting. The chairs are comfortable, and the medical assistants are cheerful and courteous. When I go to her office, I always know I am going to get excellent medical treatment and advice. In addition, she demonstrates genuine personal concern in a professional manner. I like that patients are accepted on a walk-in basis such that it gives me added flexibility in deciding when I must arrive at her office. I am glad her office is located in my geographical area and such a capable medical practice is available to me. I always feel good about the quality health care I get from Dr. Pickens - I know I am in good hands.
Worst Doctor's Office:
I refuse to ever go to this office ever again. Towana S. is the absolute worst receptionist that I have ever encountered in what is supposed to be a healthy enviroment. She was billigerant to me on the phone and in the office. I went here after a car accident and after the one and half hour wait, the doctor told me that yes, my neck had problems and they couldn't x-ray me because the machine it was broken. I then had to go to iNova to get x-rayed, where I did not want to have to go in the first place. Two months later, I am billed for an additional $150.00 because they improperly handed my insurance billing. They even assured me many times that I would not be billed. I only received the receipt in the mail without a phone call saying I would be charged. I don't recommend EVER going to Advanced Urgent Medical Care office. From the dilapidated office to unfriendly and inappropriate atmosphere, any sick person(s) should not have to endear this treatment.
