Worst ever:
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I made an appointment for a root canal here with the understanding I would be seeing a specialist. The specialist listed as working at this practice on my insurance company's website is no longer employed here. It is the responsibility of the practice to contact insurers and notify them when a specialist has left. So when I received a call the day before my appointment to tell me that there may be a problem having my root canal covered, I was confused. I have a referral, and they have a specialist.
What I found out two hours before my appointment the next day is that because the man that would be performing my root canal is not a specialist, but rather a general dentist, the only way to cover my procedure would be to switch my primary office to Aldan Family Dental.
No problem, right? All of this information came to light during a three way phone conference in which both I and the receptionist could hear my insurance mediator say that so long as I switched, I'd be covered.
So what happened next really baffled me.
The woman working for the insurance company who was handling my issue called the office without me on the line to request that they accept me as a new patient so my procedure would be paid for. They said NO.
When you are on hold (like I was, several times) with Aldan Family Dental, you can hear the recorded voice saying that new patients are always welcome and emergency dental services are available.
To sum it up, I waited 9 days to see a man that doesn't work there and when a resolution was found that would allow the office to receive payment, they put the kibosh on it and refused me as a new patient with no explanation. When I asked why... I was told
"This is above my paygrade."
These people are idiots.
