We were left hanging by All Around Tree Service (aka JL Banks Tree Service) after we had taken down a large oak tree in our front yard. I had high hopes after their timely appearance of this owner, JL Banks, and his family/son. JL, the owner, had promised to cut up the remainder of the fallen oak and remove it. We set a time for the next day, and he promised it would be completed by noon. Around 2pm the next day, they had not arrived, nor called to let me know why. I had to call them, using the number on the laminated card they stuck on my front door, and he rescheduled for that afternoon, giving his word as a 'Kentucky gentleman' that it would be done before the 'sun set'. Still, they no-showed us again. I called again the next day to find out what was up, and yet again, he overtly PROMISED as a 'Kentucky gentleman good for his word' he would come out to finish the job but they simply never came out, nor called to let us know. So, I had to call AGAIN, and he stated on the phone they had been taking other jobs in my area that was paying them "the big money". I took this as offensive because they were clearly only taking jobs that were larger or for higher profits, perhaps on insurance money, no matter when you scheduled with them, and that they were simply dropping the smaller jobs, like my 4' diameter/6 ton oak tree trunk. 'Money over people, (and his word)' is apparently his motto, despite all the 'you have my word as a Kentucky gentleman' promises, and his touching spiel about how he wanted to teach his son about being "good for your word" and showing up and not letting people down...especially vulnerable people who experienced losses after a big storm. Well, needless to say, the irony was not lost on us that all those 'Kentucky gentleman' promises about his word were completely false and empty. It's been 3 days now and after 3 calls and a voice message, they have not even bothered to call back. If I could put negative stars in this review, I would. Thanks for NOTHING JL Banks aka All Around Tree Service!!!!!!!
