The owner of All Type Clock Shop is a lying crook.
I have a case clock that was not working. I called this company because they do in-home repairs. Joe came out to my house and worked on my clock for about an hour. He charged $85 and got the clock running. I was happy.
The clock would not chime and Joe said it needed a third weight. He said he needed to take one of the weights back to his shop so he would know what size to order.
I did not hear from Joe for a month. I phoned and was told the weight was on order. I called several more times and got the same story. When I phoned again, after six months, I was told “Yes, we got the part, but it was the wrong size, so we will have to reorder.” I said, “Is it going to take six months again?” Joe laughed and said “No. We can rush the order.”
From then on, whenever I phoned, I was told Joe was “Out on a job”. I never connected with him again. After a year, I stopped trying. I was not given a receipt for the brass weight he took off my clock, so I had no way to get it back.
This man obviously thought he could get more money out of my solid brass clock weight than he could for the repair, and so he ripped me off. In all the time I waited, he never once phoned me. I always had to chase him down. Do not let this man in your door, and DO NOT trust him with your clocks.
