Dishonest small business company!!!:
I bought the Samsung UN55B8000 55" LED/LCD TV from Allan’s TV and Appliances (1440 S. Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim CA. 92805) on 6/2/10 around 1pm. I was promised delivery on the same day between the hours of 5 and 6 pm. I received a call around 5 stating they could not get a hold of their delivery driver and I would not receive my TV until the following day. Long story short after numerous calls back and forth it finally arrived around 11pm! It was shoved into the back of a Lexus small SUV, transported by the vary same salesman that sold me the TV. When I removed the TV from its box I found it to have been previously opened and assembled (TV stand was already mounted on) and to top it off... the manual for the TV belonged to a plasma TV, not an LED TV! I called Samsung directly and spoke with a technician concerning my problems, and after giving him the model number and serial number, he advised me that the warranty showed that it had already been activated and was up in October of 2010... 4 months after I bought it. Samsung was gracious enough to restart the warranty for me… Great customer service on their end! Samsung stated they would investigate further into whether or not the TV had been refurbished or previously sold (Again, Samsung showed extreme concern for my situation and were more than willing to help in any way necessary). When I called the company the following day, I brought up my concerns of the product and that I believed it had been previously opened. They told me they open all their products to make sure the screens glass isn’t broken, and test the picture to ensure the pixels all work. They said they do this for all their TV’s to cover their selves incase a customer takes the TV home and it doesn’t work. I also advised them that the warranty had already been activated, and they claimed they activate all their TV warranty's in case they get damaged or stolen from their warehouse.... I’m pretty sure the manufactures warranty does not cover the theft of a TV nor anything outside normal manufactures defects… At this point I was getting annoyed by the lies this company was giving me and told them they should not advertise a factory sealed product, if they are breaking the seal on it before it is ever bought. I told the salesman that he advertises a new product in a factory sealed box, but in fact opens the box and plays with the TV and how is a consumer suppose to know what has happened to that TV while it was opened. All my initial factory settings were set already, which makes me believe they did more than just make sure the TV wasn't broken! This company is dishonest, and had been dishonest on several issues from the beginning. I will never do business with them, nor will I advise anyone I know do business with them. When I returned the product, the employees made myself and my wife feel like we had been dishonest to them, and started talking about us in Spanish… calling me a dog and stating they should charge me a 20% restocking fee! I may look white and have an Irish last name, but I understand Spanish… and did not appreciate their rude demeanor towards me and my family.
