I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is an old run down building, dirty, with really small rooms. To call it a "care center" is a lie, most of the employes don't care. My mom lost weight and went downhill from the day she moved in until she almost died and we put her in another place, Clement Manor, where she flourished. Shame on you if you put your parent at allis (doesnt) care cneter.

The review below was made by a disgruntled former manager at Allis Care Center. Most of the issues he raised were made up, and others he was supposed to fix, and didn't. The pictures were fabricated the week before he left. This disgruntled employee complained to the state about 25 specific issues, the state came and investigated all of them and found NOTHING wrong and NO citations were issued by the state, proof that this person had his own personal agenda. I've worked at Allis Care Center for a long time, and I think the people here are very warm and kind. The building is a little older than some, but it is still very comfortable for the residents. Warm, kind, compassionate, loving quality care is what matters in a nursing home, and that's Allis Care Center. Come and make a visit, meet the employees there and see for yourself.

I am a ex employee and was fired for sticking up for the saftey and rights of the residents at this facility. They have gone 6 weeks with out having a proper oven to cook peoples food. Flies, maggots, mice in the kitchen. Beds that are breaking down every day, broken windows, leaky ceilings, residents complaining about being to hot because of insufficent ventilation and the list goes on. When I would bring this to the attention of the administrator (David Marggraf) he would tell me numerous times that these people are low income, title 19 people. What is your point I would ask, they deserve the same treatment as if they were paying $6,000.00 out of their own pockets. Stay away from this place if you have a chance to make such a decision. I have filed a complaint with the state on 7-15-11.
