overall good experience:
I have been using Alpine for over 12 years. They provide a level of service that is hard to find these days.

A Terrible Experience with the Culver City Store:
We ordered carpet for the hallways for a hi-rise building from Bob Sanchez -Alpine operations VP, and we paid the carpet price, $15500; the carpet came defective twice which Alpine told us it is a roll crush and will disappear and gave all kinds of excuses. . It was only partially installed on 2 floors and up to now in December since January 2007- that is 11 months- it did not disappear. So we did not want the rest of the carpet. We asked our money back but Alpine wants to hold $3875 for restocking fee for a defective carpet ! Which was not our fault. Meanwhile we realized that Alpine charges considerably more for carpet and other suppliers charge less so we decided to work with another supplier while struggling to get our money back. Alpine put a block to the Supplier of the new carpet so we cannot get it at the reduced price. I do not know the legality of this but they really played dirty. We are adamant to get our money back including the $3875 even if we go to court . They got our money now and they think they have us cornered and play hard. Definitely I would advice all not to deal with "Alpine carpet one"... They do not play honest. A very bad experience still going on !
