In 1891, Altoona Pipe and Steel began as a scrap facility with one horse and one cart. After five generations of leadership, the company has grown to include service center sales in steel and pipe, fabrication, railcar repair and valves and fittings. It added a satellite operation in 1965 at Cumberland, Md., while expanding facilities in Altoona, Pa.

Our steel service center is a distributor of steel products and produces customized designs to meet specific customer requirements. Our center provides a working reservoir of materials for industry usage and delivers it when needed.
