I hired this company to replace 4 flat roofs and aluminum capping on another unit. Claimed that all his labor are in house employees. This is not trued. Matt Golonka hired an experienced sub-contactor to do the work. First day on the job they destoryed the work that was already done and in perfect condition. They were hired to install Peel and Stick on 4 flat roofs. They did two of the four roofs and the materials was not properly installed as according to the manufactrurers specs. The manufacturer could not stand behind the materials because of the improper installation. When it came to installing the Aluminum capping they used a bait and switch and the material that was used was not properly installed. The result of the work that was carried out casued over $15,000 damage to the units below cause by water. It took almost a year before his liability insurance would accept the claim that was filed because Matt Golonka would not corporate with the investigation claiming that he did not do the work but his subcontractor. The claim will not cover the work that was improperly done but only the damage of the work. I am still out over $9,000. In almost a year Matt Golonka has refused to return phone calls, and correspondence that was sent to his office. The affair is now below the Consumer Affairs for theif of materials that were removed from the job site that were paid for in full and the bait and switch that he employed. The main problem with Matt Golonka is that he had no idea of the work that need to be done or how it was supposed to have been done. He talks a lot but cannot be trusted. It was learned that the subs that he would work with no longer will have anything to do with him because of not being paid. I have personally spoken to several of them that he put me in touch with.
