American Swedish Institute

American Swedish Institute is located at 2600 Park Ave in Minneapolis and has been in the business of Social Change Association since 1929.

When to Go: There are also concerts and theater performances in the upper rooms, and lectures and other events in the modernized basement. (It's a special treat to visit when the mansion is decked out at Christmas time.)

The Extras: The museum is a rich resource for local history, as well as a showcase for artwork by Swedish and Swedish-American artists and artisans.
