I never even made it to the visit and I already had one of the worse experiences with an office ever. I was told to bring $100 check or cash to pay upfront for a consultation before they ever charged the insurance company. My insurance specifically warns against this type of scam instructing participants not to pay for any un-billed charges. I tried to discuss this with the office manager and was rudely talked AT about all her year's experience and how they "operate their own way" so they don't take any chances that people won't pay up. It was rude, unprofessional, and clearly, not someplace I would trust.
